Tangle Connect ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Tangle Connect Private Limited, a company registered in India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from users of the Tangle Connect mobile app, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect
Phone Number - We collect your phone number to verify your identity and let you sign in, using a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. We do not use social login - phone verification is the only way to create an account.
Location Data - When you sign up, we use your device's GPS location one time to confirm you are physically within your residential society's boundary. We do not track your location on an ongoing basis, and we do not share your live location with other users.
Physical Address - We collect your flat/unit and tower/block details to confirm exactly which unit you live in within your society.
Photos and Camera -The app may ask to access your camera or photo library so you can attach photos to posts, events, or messages you create. Photo access is used only for these choices you make, not for any automatic or background purpose.
Content You Create - Posts, messages, event listings, and tournament entries you create, visible to other verified residents or the specific chat/group you're part of.
Device and Notification Data - If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver alerts about messages, connection requests, and event reminders.
Account and Profile Information - Your name and, optionally, a profile photo, visible to other verified members of your society.
How We Use Your Information
To verify you're a real, physically-present resident; let you connect and message verified neighbors; show relevant local events and posts; send relevant notifications; investigate abuse/policy violations; and maintain platform safety and integrity. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who can see your information
Your name, profile photo, and posts are visible to other verified residents of your society and relevant groups/chats. Your phone number and exact verification location are never shown to other users.
Data storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase with access controls so residents only see data appropriate to their society, groups, and conversations.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and remove or anonymize it within a reasonable period after deletion, except where legally required to retain it.
Your Choices and Rights
You can contact us at support@tangleconnect.in to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and to report content or users you believe violate our Terms. We will respond to and process such requests manually.
Children's Privacy
Tangle Connect is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@tangleconnect.in so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted via the "Last updated" date or in-app notice.
